Meet the Founder

For 19 years, I built and stabilized finance functions inside manufacturing companies — as a Plant Controller, Finance Manager, and cost accounting leader — before bringing that same discipline to small business bookkeeping with Claritas.

Honestly, I think the reason I’d be good at this is that I actually enjoy the mess. Hand me a set of books that don’t tie out or a pile of transactions nobody can make sense of, and I don’t feel overwhelmed — I get curious. I want to know why it broke and how to put it back together so it stays that way.

I think what I have to offer is calm. A lot of small business owners carry anxiety about their numbers — they don’t really know if they’re okay, and that uncertainty just sits with them. I’ve spent my whole career being the person who can look at a mess and say, “here’s what’s actually going on,” and I want to bring that same reassurance to people running their own businesses.

I also just like building things so they don’t have to be fixed again and again — a system that works, instead of a monthly scramble. That’s the kind of bookkeeper I want to be for people.
